Roof top hangout

Approximately 30 degrees celsius outside today which made a visit to The Prince's roof top bar a must. The place is amazing, a two floored roof top (if that makes sense?!) with a wonderful view of London and a jacuzzi on the top. SANDRA, we're going here when you arrive!!! You will LOVE it.

The shard... Londons new landmark SUPER close to where I work

Normal day at work. The secret garden was not as secret as I thought. Packed with people during lunch.

Sunday was spent on Portobello road.

Kensington Garden was the venue of choice when the first sun came to London.

Met Mikey for some beer in West Kensington and played a game of Guess Who.
The questions were rather unconventional like, "who would you consider pick up at a bar" and "whom would you not leave your kids with" which made the outcome become somewhat subjective. Lets just say that everyone won every time. Great game.

Btw, I would totally leave my kids with Hans (super innocent looking guy, right?!)
Mikey and Pernilla wouldn't. Would you?

Secret garden

I found the most beautiful garden in the neighbourhood where I work. The only thing you can see from the street is the entrence on the first picture, which does not let on that there is a garden to your right once you enter. Once the sun finds its way to London I will spend every lunch break in this peek a boo garden.

Shoreditch

I have found my favorite place in London. Shoreditch!
It has a rough, industrial yet bohemian feel to it. Random street art on the buildings, people sitting on the ground drinking beer, cheap food, great vintage stores and some really neat pubs.

Absolute Vintage on Hansbury street.

Blitz is a huge vintage store that is extremely well sorted and has an amazing atmosphere.
Everything in the stores were color coordinated and super structured, nothing like Myrorna back home. However, in order to go through all the garments and find the true pearls you would need alot of patience and time Non of which we had at the time. But we will definately go there again.

Bar 1001 on Brick Lane. Pretty shady during the evening but it was amazing for a 7 o'clock burger and mojito for 10 pounds.

The flat

Our first weekend together

Sunday. 2 o´clock. The hangover is present, did not expect anything else, and  indian take out have been ordered. The weekend was amazing and we have been discovering some really neat places and met some really cool people.

Friday we went to an italian restaurant in Shoreditch and had parma pizza and limoncello. Later we met up with Pernilla´s friend Mikey, a lovely ginger(somehow felt neccessary to add the ginger part, in order to enhance the british vibe), with whom we grabbed some beers. Pernilla went for the Jäger of course.

Saturday we did some shopping and i came home with a pair of glittery golden shoes. Best buy!

Later we met up with a random guy I met at the bus stop, who by the way is an exact copy of Tinie Tempah.  The resemblence is striking.

He took us to a great bar in Brixton called The Prince. However it was rainy so we couldn´t enjoy the roof top bar but we will def go there once the sun reaches London(which apparently may take a year or two). He also promised us to take us to London's coolest roof top bar in Kennington. Wohooo! After than we went to a birthday party Russ had invited us to, fun fun fun.

It is so cool to get to know all the "mini-cities" within London. Brixton have great potential and we are going to be given a guided tour of the area by the daughter in the house sometime next week. Shoreditch is also an area of London we want to explore further. It is such a social atmosphere here, we meet people wherever we go and every one is super nice. The only way to actually get to know the city is to blend with the locals and tap in to all their local knowledge. They know everything about those hidden cool  hot spots that tourists never are able to find.

Have not been taking any photos since I know my self too well in order not to take the iPhone out on bars and Pernillas Samsung is not really.. how should i phrase it?... up to date.
