Change of plan

I have decided to turn this blog in to a website focusing on London rather than myself.

From now on I will treat the blog as a website where blog readers can find tips of cool London hang outs, the tastiest London food and the best shops and bars in the city.

Outside the office

I now work as a receptionist at The Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. I got lovely collegues and am located in the middle of the vibrant area of Brick Lane which is crowded with interesting people and cool bars, shops and Cafés. The Old Truman owns most of the venues around brick lane and at the events office, where i work, we arranges events in these venues. Anything from Absolut Vodka who is hosting an interactive event for the public on one of the yards, to shooting films on roof tops or hosting pop-up shops in the boutiques.

On my way to work: Mini Frapuccino sample

I work Sundays, which is amazing since all the food markets in  the area are up and running.
Lunch: spring rolls and freshly squeezed watermelon, strawberry and apple juice

One of the markets Truman hosts. Amazing clothes for reasonable prices.

Juice from my new favourite hang out. Apple and ginger flavoured. Can't remember the name of the place now, on Brick Lane though.

Afternoon tea with a view

We went to National Portrait Gallery and enjoyed an amazing session of Afternoon Tea, with a lovely view of London Eye, Trafalgar Square and Big Ben

Notting hill carnival and mini pancakes in Camden

Notting Hill Carnival is on every year and is basically a huge street festival in the area around Notting Hill. Stages put up in the streets, bloody mary sold out of apartments, parade and all with a caribean feel to it

Tate Modern

I went to Tate Modern in order to watch the much talked about, Damien Hirst, exhibition. Once there I found out it costed a fortune (with my limited budget anyway) to get in. BUT I did get to see some cool stuff without paying so the visit was definitely worth the while.

The Olympics

We did not manage to get affordable tickets to the live games but we did go to Hyde Park to watch the games on the big screens. It was truly a festival feel at the park, a really good hang out.

We saw the Handball finale (or at least the last 20 minutes, stupid brits who doesn't care about the handball!) with a bunch of other Swedes and French people who had gathered in Victoria Park. LOVE how sports unite people.
